In Nevion’s extensive experience supporting service providers as they address the challenges of live event coverage, many different product configurations have been used. Standard or high definition, compressed or non-compressed, multiplexed or simple transport, Nevion products can adapt to the requirements of broadcasting customers.
- The UK 2010 general election (VS721, VS252, VS408)
- 2009 and 2010 Super Bowl coverage (VS9155, VS901-SED-12, MOT-Box)
- 2009 US presidential inauguration (VS551-D-xxC, VS408)
- 2007 – present, La Liga soccer coverage in Spain (VS811,VS404, VS661, VS231)
- 82nd annual Academy Awards (VS251, VS661, VS811, VS411, VS408)
Two Ventura-line products tend to play an important role in mobile deployment projects:
- The Ventura Mot-box (pictured here), which encases a Ventura chassis to make it easily transportable
- The VS551-D-xxC, also known as the Universal card, which accepts and transmits any professional video format
The Universal card enables service providers to change services on the fly without making any change in edge equipment. This module also greatly simplifies sparing, because a single VS551-D card can serve as backup to cards delivering many different services.
